Neale Donald Walsch Teaches Readers To Recreate Their Lives For An Improved Future

Neale Donald Walsch is a writer of self improvement books who is most recognized for his series, "Conversations With God."

Walsch relates that during a time of frustration with his life, he wrote a letter to God, pleading to know why his life was such a mess. Walsch claims he heard God speak in reply and conversations began that developed into a series of books.

Some of the books were written in question and answer format as Neale Donald Walsch asked questions of God, and other books were written by Walsch alone in an attempt to further explain God's replies.

Walsch explains his books are inspirations from God rather than being channeled.

Background Of Neale Donald Walsch

Neale Donald Walsch was born on September 10, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Walsch was raised in the Catholic faith and was a seeker of spiritual truth from a young age.

Walsch had a variety of jobs as an adult and in the 1990s, he experienced hard times that changed his life. He lost his possessions in a fire, broke his neck in a car accident, lost his job, and ended his marriage. He found himself alone, surviving in a tent and collecting aluminum cans so he could buy food to eat.

During this time, he became quite despondent, and began writing as a way to deal with his depression and find answers to life. During one of those writing sessions, "Conversations With God" was born.

Neale Donald Walsch And "Conversations With God"

"Conversations With God" became a phenomenal best seller. It was on the New York Times Bestseller List 135 weeks.

Six other books by Neale Donald Walsch also made it to the Times bestseller list. His books based on Conversations with God have sold in the millions of copies and been translated into 37 different languages.

Neale Donald Walsch wrote nine books with him asking questions of God that touched on all aspects of personal growth and the human condition.

The books were not meant to be prophetic, but the topics did include politics, the environment, and the future of mankind. The books recommended certain economic and social changes to be made by mankind to protect the future of the earth and its inhabitants.

The books also offered self improvement advice for dealing with life's difficulties and enhancing spiritual growth.
